About the exhibition

To commemorate the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9), to be held in Yokohama from August 20–22, 2025, the Stop TB Partnership and FUJIFILM Corporation will co-host a photo exhibition under the theme “Together for Africa: Ending TB, Bringing More Smiles.” This exhibition will focus on the ongoing fight against tuberculosis in Africa, highlighting the experiences of people affected by the disease and the growing circle of support surrounding them.

Reflecting the spirit of FUJIFILM's global “More Smiles” campaign—which embodies the company's commitment to contributing to health and a brighter future through innovation and social responsibility—the exhibition brings attention to the continued global health challenge of TB, while also showcasing the progress being made. In Africa and beyond, remarkable advances are being achieved through the introduction of cutting-edge technologies and the strengthening of treatment systems, supported by strong public-private collaboration. The exhibition introduces a wide range of TB response initiatives that leverage these innovations, emphasizing the importance of global solidarity to end the disease.

Through this exhibition, we hope to deepen public understanding of TB and its ongoing challenges, and to highlight the value of united efforts by governments, international organizations, businesses, and civil society. By expanding awareness and widening the circle of support, we aim to help restore health and hope—and bring More Smiles to the world.

TICAD stands for Tokyo International Conference on African Development. The Government of Japan has been leading this conference since 1993, co-hosted by United Nations, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), World Bank and African Union Commission (AUC).
