About the exhibition

FUJIFILM Corporation presents “WITHIN”, by photographer Serkan Günes from Friday 2nd February to Thursday 15th February 2024 in FUJIFILM SQUARE.
Swedish Lapland is the last remaining vestige of pristine wilderness in Europe located in the Arctic part of Sweden. Serkan Günes was attracted by its beautiful nature and moved to the Lapland from Stockholm. Serkan Günes has been shooting photography within his dream destination Swedish Lapland.

What sets this wilderness in Lapland apart is the “light”: the atmospheric glow of a midsummer night, and midwinter twilight. From dusk to dawn, when the deep-frozen landscape shifts in shades of pink, scarlet, violet and blues by the rays escaping from behind the horizon. This is the time of year Serkan cherish the most.

This photographic exhibition, “WITHIN”, is the series of the beautiful nature within the Arctic Circle in Swedish Lapland which Serkan Günes has been working since his move to the land.
